MJCC produces The Northern Jewish Talking Newspaper in partnership with the League of Jewish Women.

Extracts from the Jewish Telegraph and Jewish Chronicle are recorded each week onto digital memory sticks (‘The Jewish Hour ‘ is added to the recordings) and posted to recipients. Playback consoles are provided through which recipients can listen to the audio files.

This project enables visually impaired or otherwise reading disabled people to keep in touch with local community news.

The NJTN is produced by a team of dedicated volunteers and is free of charge.
